Dear Participants:
Tomorrow at 11:59pm Arizona Time is the submission deadline for the 2005 Innovation Challenge! As it stands, only 10 teams have submitted plans. On the last day of submission we experience an enormous amount of traffic. Therefore, we ask for your patience while you insert your submission. Keep a backup copy in plain text using Notepad or another plain text editor and save frequently so that you are safeguarded from possible site delays. Use this editor to generate clean HTML, to format text or to create simple tables. Our team will be standing by on Skype, via phone and in our offices. Our goal is to help get everyone's plan into the system before the judging begins!

Part One: How to Win the Innovation Challenge
This is the 3rd time we've run the Thunderbird
Global Innovation Challenge
and I've seen hundreds of submissions and presentations by some of the most
innovative MBAs in the world and...by some of the least. In addition to
my own observation, I've spoken with hundreds of judges, dozens of sponsors and
countless experts on the topic of innovation. This "how to"
article is not a step-by-step guide to generating innovative ideas, it is
however, intended to give you some direction, resources and advice...from my
perspective. You'll also hear the perspective of Richard Caelius (a great guy),
the winning team leader of the 2004 Most Innovative MBA Team in the World from Instituto de Empresa.

Hoang Tran, Kenton Williams, Jairaj Mashru, Matt Harker, Ravi Mujumdar
and Dr. Andy VanGundy. Without their energy, sleepless nights, unique
